Permalink Reply by HBP on April 4, 2012 at 8:09 Samson was bought out by KKR (PE firm) late last year. Doubt KKR could flip the whole thing this quick. We will have to watch and see what KKR does with Samson, maybe sell off non-core assets as they go.
I think Samson Oil and Gas (a diff co., ticker SSN) may get taken over at some point.

Does anyone know or can guess why two stock brokers are pushing Slumberj and Baker as buys with projection of double money in near future? Who buying all these drilling supplies?

Permalink Reply by Krkyoldhag on April 5, 2012 at 2:35 why wouldn't KKR just go into drilling agreements with people like Devon rather then sell leases? Has anyone else talked to stock brokers this week?
Permalink Reply by Krkyoldhag on April 5, 2012 at 2:36 I am going to these two companies web sites and see if there anything there that gives a clue who their big new customers are.

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
