O.K. guys,
I need your input. This weekend (April 17th & 18th) was to be the time for us to get together and sign our cards for the 2 families that we are helping. The Bowling get together was slated for Friday night due to the SWAMO meeting Saturday night. We have had to postpone the SWAMO meeting due to scheduling conflicts( 4 of the 12 people that were going to be there are going to Disney World instead) so Saturday is open for the bowling/get together. I need to know what day is better for all. This will not be our only chance to get together so please dont fret if this weekend isnt good for you. I would like to get as many people to sign the cards as possible tho, so if there is some time during the week that we could meet to get any and all to sign the cards, just let me know. I feel quite certain that this will mean a lot to these families. We can all come together and set aside any differences for such a worthy cause.

Not to mention the fact that the pure enjoyment of watching a senior citizen get bounced out of a bowling alley for questionable behavior , is something that doesnt happen every day. I will have bailout money with me this time, Cathaus. I stood in line behind GM & AIG. Needless to say, most of the money was gone by then, so keep it below a felony and things will be fine. (LOL) Just kidin' MeMaw. You know I love ya'.

No brag, just fact!
Hi Snake,

If you have not mailed them, add my name to the cards. If you have, no big deal. Sorry so late getting back to you. Been a little stove up. Had a wreck Monday going to work. A lady pulled out in front of me and I wammed her going about 45. May have totalled my car, if they will ever get back with me. May make the body shop use used parts and that may change everything, and they may have a tiger by the tail. I am OK, just was real sore and bruised. Seat belts are so wonderful. Between the cold, coughing and being sore, I have felt pretty bad, but kept on going. Felt pretty darn lucky!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You do have a heart, a pretty great one too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry to hear about your wreck Cottontop but am glad to hear you are ok. As much of a downer as it can be, a vehicle can be replaced easier then bones can be mended. If you have to buy a car, I will save all of the cards and books from the different dealerships we have been to as we are in the market already. We havent paid a car note in about 5 years. Things sure have changed since 1999! At least on the sticker price anyway.(LOL)

The money will be transfered & the sympathy cards will go via mail so there isnt a problem and will gladly add your name. Have a good one.
Snake, I've said it before and I will say it again: YOU DA MAN!!! The Brazzel and Shirley families are no doubt eternally grateful. So am I. Also, thanks to all you Shalers who have been so gracious to help these families. God Bless you all!

Now an update on the Shirley family ( Rockford edition): I haven't seen much of Lance other than his vehicle flyin' up the road occasionally. Course a very tall good lookin' blonde kid ain't gonna be around much when the weather's nice. I have seen Phoebe around a bit. Most of her time has probably been spent getting the businesses up and running on all cylinders. As far as my "brotha from anotha motha" Glenn. I have seen and talked to him quite a bit. He called the other day talkin' about his freakin' garden! GARDEN! It's northern Illinois here people! We may still get some snow for God's sake! If that's not enough, I stopped home for lunch yesterday and Mr. Over Achiever/ Jump the Gun guy is TILLING it up! This the earliest he has started the garden war in 7 years or so. Hell, if I get in by Mother's Day, I'm ecstatic. By Memorial Day is normal. So, I had no choice but to fire up the 40 yr. old tiller and get with it last night. He wants a war; he'll get a war!
I'll show him all the love he needs otherwise, but as far as our gardens are concerned, its' about big 'maters and fat peppers till the frost. I can't believe this guy!
Hey Cannie,
I think you just came up with a name for a new rock group--------big 'maters & fat peppa's!
Now if I can only manage to get a royalty from any hits produced by "Big Maters & Fat Peppas" !
I think I will start a new blog and ask for lyrics for a song for the Big 'Maters & Fat Peppas!
So you think it would be something I should start, KB ?
