Thanks, adubu for your reply. I have been so knee deep in tomatoes and canning I have not had a spare moment. We will certainly enjoy the veggies this fall and winter. A country girl will survive and the boys, too. I have so much going on with garden, cows, and grandkids that I really haven't much time to think about the oil and gas, but it sure would be nice to end up with a good producing well. We all have the dreams of life oo Riley, but wake up in the real world everyday.
I do love to visit the website as often as I can.
adubu-my previous message on seismographing was stated at $25.00/acre offered by Seitel. We had signed that contract at $15.00/acre; however, Global did agree to $25.00/acre which they paid upfront and quickly. We have finally received the check from Seitel this week. Since we had not heard anything from Seitel in so long, we figured they had lost interest. So my curiosity is peaked at Seitel finally coming through with payment. I just kind of figured that Global and Seitel would be sharing information. I guess they are all wanting a good 3D look at the place. However, if they keep wanting to walk across and pay to do so, they can just line up and write the checks.
Dorothy---Glad to hear Seitel paid you, this tell me they are in fact moving northward on the shoot, so should be to Martinsville in few weeks.
Seitel now delay start of 3-D for Nac/shelby west phase 1-- Samson want different direction to North-South on microphones similar to Global Geo and will start around southern part of Chireno and then move north to Martinsville area--now scheduled to start in about 4-5 weeks and be in Martinsville area in about 2 months
adubu, have you found any maps for these survey areas?
jfree1only my local area plat of few sq miles around Martinsville --you could call then and see if they would share a map ( office in Nac 936 560 0647)--i forgot how many square miles they where to cover on this shoot, but client list included EOG HK Samson SWN and couple others. Global Geo was shooting the contiguous southern part of area
Check out Seitel Libraries on Seitel website:

JWC--thanks for map link--the area in Shelby they posted 21 june including shoot recently completed--they will now start in few week to fill in the contiguous area of nac/shelby including the Martinsville area I am in just to west of the map just posted. Good site to mark to look at periodically
I am a little farther South adubu right at hwy 103 and FM 705. May be a while before they get to us. Let me know when they are headed my way.
Up Date --- Seitel will be shooting in the martinsville area mid to late Sept.2010 Will finish the tri-county shoot around year end to early Feb 2011. It will then take about One year for all data to be analyzed. So all the companies will have the data to use early part of 2012 in decision about deep drilling in area. Hope it looks good can see pick up in leasing and deep drilling mid-late 2012 for area maybe. The 3-D will look at ~ 22,000 feet deep

Curious as to how deep their recent mapping of Shelby Co went? Also to 22K'? Our own minerals are in the J.McCormick (A-458) survey about 3 surveys down from the North central point of this map. Hoping that the seismic reveals something interesting in CV Lime and/or deeper as the HA/BO completions in our neck of the woods have been a bit anorexic.
D. Gaar--- One of people in Seitel Nacgodoches office told me the shoot would include data to 20-22,000'. When did they shoot the area of J. McCormick? If they shot 3-D on your land call them and ask depth they shot. The Adams well hurt your area it appears. Just like CHK 1st well in Shelby the Harvey #1H did not help the NE shelby. I am hoping the R Dean SL wells Goodridge presently drilling will prove to be good. Good luck in the J. McCormick Survey. Do you have any Ideal what formation is at 22,000' in this area
