Maybe they want to get away from the high pressure/high temperature wells of Sabine Parish.

Yep.
Yep
Yea and we want to keep it in Bienville...
Jay,

I can see where both high pressure and high temperature make drilling difficult, but doesn't high pressure mean higher volumes? When would it be economical or worth the difficulty for companies to tackle the high pressure and temperatures seen in Sabine Parish? To answer my own question, I would assume it would be after the lower pressure/lower temperature acreage gets drilled. Would that be a safe assumption? Also, I assume the Olympia and Murry are in high pressure high temp zones?
Aren't those high pressure/high temperature wells easier to "mess up?" They might not want to risk drilling those wells while gas is so low. Jay, Enlighten us please! Tay
Thanks Jay.
Hopefully Chesapeake will be able to handle the high temps and pressures once and if they get to my Sabine land. Hopefully gas will be higher too.
Chesapeake should know something soon. They have two wells almost back-to-back just west of Pleasant Hill.

One well, SN 238703, NABORS-LOGAN 34 H, 034-10N-12W, is shown on SONRIS as "WAITING ON STATE POTENTIAL". This well has the lateral running south.

The other well, SN 239443, NABORS LOGAN 27 H, 027-10N-12W, is shown on SONRIS as "REACHED TD (17,317) 4-13-09. This well has the lateral running north.
Congratulations to whomever the Lelong family may be, wow.
If I remember correctly that lease was signed from France. Very old and minerals are severed.
Jim, You ae just a wealth of knowledge.
CMK, from what I remember the LeLong's are one of the wealthier families in RRP and own a substantial amount of farm land along the river valley. I took Driver's Ed with one of the daughters about a million years ago.
