Les, do u know if the pipline has made it to this township? Particularly section 1 and 2?
Thanks
Tracy, Shell began flowing a well in Section 7 to a pipeline in April. Chesapeake operates most of the Haynesville Units in the township (including Sections 1 & 2) and must be waiting on a different pipeline. I do not have any additional information on the status of the pipeline the Chesapeake wells. If you drop me a note in a few weeks I would be glad to check again.
Thanks Les, that would be greatly appreciated !!! Thanks for taking the time out to provide such great info!
Yes, I would also like to know if pipelines are available in S14-T10N-R12W. Thanks.
Mar, see my reponse to Tracy above. I believe your section will be waiting on the same pipeline.
Les,
Do you have any thoughts on the wells on Secs 27 and 34? Chesapeake completed them long ago, produced them for one month, and then stopped. Is it a pipeline issue? Will they have to pay shut-in payments once the primary term expires?
Henry, I noticed those two Chesapeake wells but do not know the issue. It could be a pipeline or gas treating capacity issue with the later more likely.

I believe Chesapeake would have to either make shut-in payments or exercise an extension of the lease agreement if available.
Les,
So is "shut in" an official designation, like on sonris (well status code = 33)? Or is it simply the fact that no gas is produced in any month? Is there an official definition of what it means to be shut in, in order to kick in the shut-in payments clause in a lease?
Henry, I say any month the well that is beyond its primary term and not producing in "paying quantities" shut-in payments should be paid. Also, this is only applicable if the well is shut-in for a valid reason (ie waiting on pipeline) because otherwise the lease agreement is just expired.
HI My name is Katy Powell we have 50 acres in De Soto Parish Section 18, Township 13 North Range 15 West. We have not received any royality checks in awhile, if you could please give us an update on this Section. And royality checks and the status thanks a million God Bless Kathy Powell San Antonio Texas
Kathy, there are two producing Cotton Valley wells in Section 18 so not sure why you would not be receiving any royalty checks.

There are no Haynesville Shale wells currently permitted for Section 18.
