Memo to all AAPL Members

As you know, Representative Marc Veasey was the co-sponsor on HB-1405. Today, he indicated to our representatives in Austin that he, like Rep. Geren, will not pursue passage of HB 1405 this Session but will also recommend that the Legislature undertake an interim study to look at the issue and make recommendations to the 82nd Legislature, which will convene in January 2011. We look forward to working with Representative Veasey on this study. All landmen, industry stakeholders and the public will have the opportunity to provide input into the licensing issue during the interim period.

Thank you for your attention and input regarding these bills. Should the situation change you will be notified immediately.
