I've heard the rumor about Anadarko.. but not in Marshall.  BUt i keep an open mind  To: The Baron.. what public hearing and when?  J-W the drilling company?   Sorry, i don;t know all the companies.  any other details?
JHH, with all due respect, I'm very familiar with what is going on in the East Texas Basin. There isn't an Anadarko Smackover well in Harrison County. In fact, there isn't even a significant oil producer from Anadarko in Harrison County.
Well then what counties are the oil producers in since you seem to know alot (with all due respect)

I'm not quite sure what you're asking. I never said there wasn't oil production there. There just isn't a significant Anadarko operated oil producer, nor a smackover producer, in Harrison County. Several of there wells have oil production as they're cotton valley wells, but nothing over a few thousand barrels cumulative productions. My point being, the rumors our two board members have heard are nothing more than that.

There are Smackover producing wells throughout the northern counties of District 6 and there have been for some time. This isn't a new play by any means. The trick is finding it at the right depths (and other conditions) where you can make horizontal drilling economical.

Thanks,  that's what i'm trying to find out... with all due respect.:)
