Leatrice, the referenced well has been on production since late October and mineral owners should be receiving royalty checks soon if not already.  You could contact the company you leased with to check on status of first royalty payment.

thanks for the reply on this. I think we should be getting royalties any time now also. Have not

had a letter from them or anything yet. before we started getting royalty from our De Soto parish

sec., we got a letter and form to fill out and return. haven't heard scratch from this one yet. any one

else in this sec. 11- t16n-r 14w know any thing ,please let me know. thanks Leatrice Kay

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
