What exactly does the "zone" refer to in the drilling process?

Also about a month ago someone posted a site which showed a very good video of the step by step drilling and fracing process in the discussion forum. I can not find it now. Anyone know how to get to this video?

Popeye. This is not the video I saw but this one is just as good. The other showed more detail of horizontal drilling. Thank you very much for this!
