FOR SOME REASON, THE ORIGINAL POST WOULDN'T ALLOW REPLIES

"Got a letter from Mayhall & Blaize representing Devon Energy relating to Force pool several tracts in N Caddo PA. Conference scheduled for Wed 12/2 8:30am at the Petroleum Club.
What does this Forced pool all mean?"

JCB. I believe that you are referring to a "pre-conference notice letter". It is a requirement by the state when a company applies to form a drilling and production unit. If no one on the Interested Party list requests the pre-conference meeting, there will be none and the application will go on the public hearing schedule in Baron Rouge for the unit hearing. The term Force Pool means that all mineral interests in the proposed unit will be included in the royalty or revenue generated by any unit wells. What type of unit is Devon applying for? That would be what formation or zone they are proposing to explore and produce. If you could upload a copy of the letter and plat to the site, that would be appreciated.
