Alamo, check this article out. EOG saying the bottom hole pressure in their attoyac area leases is greater than in NW La. This looks to be Tier1

HOUSTON (Dow Jones)--Oil and natural gas producer EOG Resources Inc. (EOG) has acquired more land in the Texas portion of the Haynesville Shale after drilling three prolific wells in that emerging natural gas field.

The Haynesville Shale - one of the hottest regions for natural gas drilling in the U.S. - is a dense rock formation underlying East Texas and Northern Louisiana. To date, producers have concentrated drilling in Louisiana, where well production results have been more consistent. But recent output from Haynesville wells in Texas indicate that may be changing.

Mark Papa, chairman and chief executive of EOG, said in a conference call with investors that the company has identified another Haynesville Shale "sweet spot" in East Texas.

The Haynesville will be the "primary driver" of EOG's 2010 natural gas production growth, Papa said during the call, noting that production there would climb from 40 million cubic feet a day to 200 million cubic feet a day by the end of 2010.

The Houston-based oil and gas producer reported that three wells in East Texas' Nacogdoches County initially produced more than 15 million cubic feet of natural gas a day each.

EOG recently obtained the drilling rights for an additional 37,000 net acres in the Haynesville, all in East Texas. The company also has leases on acreage in Louisiana and holds a total of 153,000 acres in the Haynesville.

Earlier this week, Devon Energy Corp. (DVN) said one of its East Texas Haynesville wells initially produced about 31 million cubic feet of natural gas a day, making it among the most prolific onshore natural gas wells in the U.S and the biggest well drilled so far in the Haynesville. The Oklahoma City-based natural gas producer plans to accelerate drilling on its East Texas Haynesville acreage as well.

Adams Resources & Energy says that during the third quarter of 2009 it participated in the drilling of three successful wells in the Haynesville Shale Play of Nacogdoches County, Texas.

These wells, the Hill #1, the Pop Pop Gas Unit #1 and the Hassell Gas Unit #1, each began initial production rates from 12,000 to in excess of 15,000 mcf per day of natural gas with flowing tubing pressures in excess of 7200 psi.

The Company has a 5% working interest in these wells. Based on the favorable results to date and a fourth well drilled earlier this year, the Company participated in a recent leasehold acquisition to expand its acreage position in the area. Presently, the Company holds a 5% working interest in approximately 43,000 acres, which includes the area of the four productive wells.

A 2% working interest is held in approximately 24,000 additional acres. Further drilling activity is anticipated on this Haynesville opportunity with two rigs scheduled for December 2009 and additional rigs anticipated for 2010.
