I have 98 pooling acres on a 895 acre unit@ 1/5. Acres used to calculate my division of interest is.3906 acres. How could this have been calculated? I am a newbie and need advise.

Big Dave decimal interest should be your net mineral acre/total mineral acres in unit X % royalty so 98/895 X 0.20= 0.0218994  but if you own only 0.3906 net mineral acres undivided interest in the 98acres  then your decimal interest is 0.3906/895X 0.2= 0.0000872    How did they calculate the bonus when leased? I assume $ bonus per acre X 0.3906
