Would this have been your 1st check, because Aug. has already been paid. So did July get skipped?
NO, it is not. We don't get our checks until the 12th or 13th of the following month, so July hasn't been paid and August won't be paid until September
With NG prices as they are,the cost of production leaves little room for profit. The E and P boys are caught between the proverbial "rock and hard place". Shutting wells in runs the risk of fouling future production leading to often expensive re-working procedures, but preserves the gas in place to eventually enable them to market the gas in a more economic time frame. Each producer has to make that decision and shut-in royalty payments is the vehicle used in such a contingency.

All the US EIA reports indicate that gas storage facilities are nearing full capacity, so there is a rapidly approaching period where the NG supply is vastly greater than the market demand.

The quickest way I see to "re-balance" this equation is for every one of us involved in the natural gas industry to use every means available to let our congressional representatives know that they need to act on the Boren bill (which is HR 1835) immediately. Any royalty owner is a very involved member of the industry. As soon as the nation transitions to a NG fueled transportation industry the demand that will create will certainly cause gas prices to rise. Passing HR 1835 by the House of Representatives and the Senate will be quickly followed by President Obama's signature and that law will result in hundreds of thousands of new jobs, cleaner air and increased national security. The positive ramifications of HR 1835, the "NAT GAS ACT", are far-reaching and will enable the nation to utilize the most superior fossil fuel available while solar, wind, wave and other renewableenergy sources are developed and perfected.

The US now is the number 1 in the world in proven natural gas reserves--the so-called "Saudia Arabia of Natural Gas". We need congressional mandates to start using it as our preferred transportation fuel, NOW!
Alamo, I was in a National Park last week that had a large fleet of buses, all of them powered by Nat Gas. I also noticed that a convenience store near there had a public Nat Gas refill site. I hope this is a sign of things to come in the near future. No doubt our country will be far better off when we stop using asw much foriegn oil as possible.
Kathy----suggest you call EOG Royalty Interest direct line and inquire about your question and payment. You will need your payee name and payee number. 713-651-6552
Kathy, Please keep us updated on what you find out about why your payments were stopped. Was the well shut in? Would be interesting to know why.
I spoke to someone at EOG yesterday who informed me that they calculated our payments wrong and we have been overpaid. They said it should be corrected by next month.
Kathy,

You can download the Texas Natural Resource Code and section 9.401 and 9.402
Texas Natural Resources Code Section 91 Subchapters J and L. http://www.rrc.state.tx.us/about/faqs/royaltiesleases.php

Calling them will do no good nor sending an e-mail. You need to send a certified letter.

When were you 1st paid on the Coats #1?
