welcome-invite all to join--lets start list of known wells and penetration of shale in Nacgodoches

County---please add to list--then can get comments and questions flowing---EOG is drilling in one of the hot area of Martinsville and North Chireno with the Gammage #1H--word is but not on RRC site is IP> 10mmcfd-confirmed by John Gammage who owns all the minerals in unit--Eog has premitted 3 more well in the area- Hill, Hassell, and Pop-Pop. Cabot in JV with XOM old Trawick Field Northern Nacgodoches County has drilled several vertical wells into shale-one of wells talked about in their conference call last year that IP at 3.3mmcfd-massive for vertical shae--all of these well are shut-in presently--all leases HBP prior TP wells so no reason to drill H wells and product with these low NG prices. Fossil Resources ans Samson may have tested shale in the Martinsville TP field. OK everyone add to list and get info you know---I have lots of interest in Martinsville area

Goodrich Petroleum, Hill #1, appears to be the discovery well for the only named Bossier field in Nac. Co.
Field is Naconiche Creek (Bossier), depth 13,710, discovery date-2/14/2009.

Goodrich also has two wells in the only named HA field which is the Naconiche Creek (Haynesville), depth 14,008, discovery date-1/07/2009. These are the Tucker #1 and the Lewis #1.

These are all vertical wells and I haven't looked for reported IPs on any of them.
Hill well has made ~ 264mmcf feb, march, and april '09 per trrc site ~ 3mmcf avg so the IP must have been in 5-6mmcfd range-- if they in future drill a H well should be big. Lewis and Tucker ? shut-in. all 3 in same survey. No question the Bossier/Haynesville shale is productive in area of Nacgodoches County --East Texas.
adubu--trying to keep up with reported production

RBH,

I'm trying to make sense of those reported production numbers on the Kardell. Crimson had their 4th Quarter presentation today and their CEO had touted that the Kardell has produced over 1 BCF in the time since it was opened for sales. Unless there was around 700,000+ in that period in November with No Report and also in January then it wouldn't make sense for that statement to match up with those reported low numbers in the TRRC reports.
those are the numbers reported on the TRRC website: use RRC identifier #: 254271
also shown in drillinginfo.com same production for November 2009 as in TRRC and
well completed 10-24-09 and well test date 11-2-2009-30.7 MMCF/day

RBH,

Thanks.

Not doubting that this was what has been reported, just trying to match that up with Crimson CEO's statement today in their Q4 report mentioning that the well has already produced over 1BCF.

Would mean that the No Report number for November probably is a pretty significant amount and maybe also included the numbers to date for Jan/Feb which have not yet been reported????
I have mineral interest in the Y'Barbo survey in Nac county, Samson has drilled the Opie # 1 and permitted the #8 in our unit. I don't know any production details yet. These are very near the EOG Hill and several more wells that are going to the HS, Samson is is not going that far yet. I hope they are just getting the leases HBP and will go to the HS when prices go back up. If anyone does know details on these wells, I would certainly appreciate any information.
if you have minerals in the unit when they start drilling again go on site and tell them you are mineral owner in the unit they will share infomation confidentially with you if you will ask nicely just don't be arrogant.
btj,
Have you received a division order on the Opie Unit yet? I own some mins under the unit and haven't received one yet.

The Gammage well is the one that I heard was featured in the Wall St. Journal. Lots and Lots of gas.
Glad to see this blog. Nacogdoches County has been left out in the past. We own unleased minerals in the Chireno area and in Shelby County near Patroon. We have had offers on both in the last six weeks, but only the Nacogdoches offer is active at the moment.
Gary----I do not know your back ground or knowledge on Oil&Gas, leasing, royalty-mineral owner and I do not want to insult you. You could be in very hot area and do not let them steal a long term lease from you because what you sign and if you get production you will live with the terms of the lease for many years so you want favorable terms in the lease and have it reviewed by a good oil & gas attorney before you sign. Things such as vertical and horizontal pugh clauses, pooling clause, royalty free gas or oil, no more than 3 years with no option, alway ask for 25% royalty, good bonus is nice but the terms most important. These are just few things in good lease then let your attorney review and make changes in the fine print. Again my apology if you are a knowledgable oil & gas expert. These are things I learned the hard way several years ago. If they want your lease they and others will come back and negotiate with you.
