Can anyone shed some light on this permitted well/or its target.  Its a long way from anything else, with the exception of the Temple Industries #1  API 455-30007

both of those wells are in the Guadalupe Ricardo survey.  the Temple Industries reports a pay zone around 13,900.  The Forestar #1 is permitted to 19000.

This well is a twin to the Shell Temple Industries #1 drille to a TD of 19,468' in 1970. The well was tested in two different Bossier or lower CV sands betwen 18,300 and 19,300 and then abandoned, later to be completed in the travis Peak.

Here is the story of the new well which is drilling past 13,000'

There is an Indian fellow named Gumma Aguir who is sort of the father of the Deep Bossier play:

He has done really well and clearly does things in a fairly big way. He has recently put together about +100,000 acres (my estimate) in Trinity County and is drilling a 19,000' test, twinning a Shell well drilled to 18,000” in 1970. The Shell well has massive Jurassic sands, and appears to be gas charged. It looks like a multi stage vertical frack play to me.

I understand Gumma made about 1.5 billion dollars on his Bossier sale to Encana, and is a living legend in India. Looks like he is at it again.

Bosco, all

I'm going to continue posting on this in the other thread as information comes in.

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.

This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
