Does anyone know of any activity in Lafayette County?  We have property in Bossier Parrish that borders with Lafayette and I understand there is some leasing going on in North Bossier/south lafayette.

Alot of leasing going on, just last month there were around 7000 acres leased in the county. Several companies are calling trying to lease shallow oil depths all in southern Laf. County!!. They say they are ready to drill now!

Thanks Allen.  Do you know of any deep zone leasing? We are starting to get offers for deep zones (Cotton Valley, etc). Pro Hobbs

I understand that what they are looking at right now is all West of Bodcau in the Shilo area and north on up into South Lafayette County.

Sorry!I havent checked this in a while!!  There is still interset in Laf. Co. Several wells being drilled in the Northern part. We are still working on a lease in the southern part. They havent told us how deep they plan to go, but we are still prying for info.!!

Do you (or others) know if Ark. has a website similar to "Sonris" ?  My wife has minerals at several locations in Townships 19 and 20 Ranges 24, 25, and 26. in Lafeyette County.  I suspect some may be held by production but I would like to check.  We live out of state and it is very difficult to get to the courthouse to check there.  Thanks for any help!

Don

Skip,

Thanks, those sites aren't as easy to use as Sonris but I was finally able to get enough info to convince me I need to make a trip to the county courthouse to verify or disprove my findings and to see where/what the action is. There is over 500 mineral acres involved (in about 10 different locations) and I would have thought the landmen would have found us by now if interested.  Its probably a waste of time but time I've got plenty of.  Thanks again.

Don
