We still have interest in Union County.  I understand Chesapeake Energy might be behind it.  Looking for shale underneath the Smackover.  This is all just rumor.  I can not confirm this,  Anyway we had a different group ask about a lease.  What kind of price per acre  and royalty should be expected.  What is everybody else hearing?

You can download a plug in from the Arkansas Oil and Gas Commision that will show the locations of all wells in the state.
They also have their own map now:

Watch out for both, I use these from time to time, they are by no means complete. There are wells missing etc..
Agree with Baron's comments. Of eight wells I am very familiar with, only one is listed correctly. I have notified AOGC that their data are incorrect and incomplete, but nothing has been done to correct. Be carefully using this information.
JT,

The Chalybeatt springs well is close to the state line on the Arkansas side.It is an old well that is not very productive but Petroquest uses it to hold 6000 acres HBP.Petrochem has some really nice wells just south of the line in 18 23n 6w.They have 4 really nice wells drilled in the last year or so that are as good or better than the wells you spoke of earlier. You can look up all of them on sonris.I would take any of them on my land.Good luck!
