I own interest in 80 acres in this section and am currently leased with Shell. Does anyone know if anything is going on in this area? What is the name of the field in this area? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks.

Sailes Field. From a brief search, I noticed some decent Hosston production nearby (currently approx. 350 - 450 mcf/d). I did not see any Haynesville Wells permitted near this parcel.

any new information for this area?
Olddog,
Wow, what an old discussion! My records show that all of 16N-9W is unitized. However, only 3 sections of 16N-8W have been unitized... Secs 29, 32, and 33. All three were unitized by J-W. Hope this helps.
Thanks. Keep waiting for something to happen on this piece.
i know nothing of haynesville shale wells in your section, but ..activity near you.....I am in S16T16NR8W.........and they have marked off a pad on my land for a vertical CV well, not haynesville. Sec 16 touches sec. 22 or your N.E. corner.
back in the early 2000 period Rebel Oil drilled a well in my section there. they were expecting it to be a good one but i don't think it ever produced. would be nice if they were to drill it deeper or at least do a CV.
We had the same from Rebel Oil. They abandoned the well. We are in 16N 8W 22 and are still unleased at this point too.
OD, these are the only Haynesville Units in the township.

S29-T16N-R8W, HA RA SUA Unit, J-W, Jamestown Field, Bienville Parish
S32-T16N-R8W, HA RA SUB Unit, J-W, Jamestown Field, Bienville Parish
S33-T16N-R8W, HA RA SUC Unit, J-W, Jamestown Field, Bienville Parish
I received a letter several months ago about a proposed unit in our section S29-T16N-R8W. Should I have been contacted at this point about leasing..only 3 acres of property in this section.
Perry, there has been a lot of activity in T16N-R9W but no permitted Haynesville Shale wells yet in T16N-R8W. That may help explain why you have not yet been approached for leasing. You may want to monitor Sonris for any future well permits in your area.
Not in sec. 22, but I am next to it in sec. 16T16NR8W, and the cotton valley well A mentioned early, instead found out it will be a Hosston A & B depth. Got a letter in the mail now advising of a meeting to apply for a permit with the state.
Great, one step closer I hope.
