I own interest in 80 acres in this section and am currently leased with Shell. Does anyone know if anything is going on in this area? What is the name of the field in this area? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks.

hi irving, who is the operator on the well as mentioned by the letter? thanks.
It is Entergen Resourses Services out of Birmingham, Al.
I am in sec 16, T16NR8W, rite next to sec 22, and they spudded in a vertical Hosston A and B well in my backyard. Now sec. 16 is locked in to our leases. It is drilling now, to bad not a haynsville shell well. Plan to go down 10,000 feet or so. Well is by Entergen who I am leased to. It is neat to look off the poarch and see them drilling! Location is off of Madden Millcreek Rd. by the highline corssing.
Hi Nat,

What lease are you talking about? I am in 16N 8W 22 and am not leased at all. I spoke to Energen last week and they had no interest in leasing in Section 22. Rebel Oil was on Section 22 in 2003 and abandoned the well allowing for another company to come in and lease but since then those leases periods have well expired.

I am trying to get my 80 acres leased in Sec 22 but no one has shown any interest.
lynn, I am leased to entergen, which is really a utility company out of Birmingham, ala. They told me they asked to put in a couple more wells here, but were turned down because the cost of cng is so low. Some rigs are moving to West or South-west Texas, where they have found shallow oil, and oil is much more valuable than gas rite now. Entergen has no plans for more gas wells here this year. I think they just wanted to lock us in on the lease before ours expired. Mine was due to expire on March 15th of the coming year. Oh Well............The well is drilling now in my back yard. It is on Madden Millcreek Rd. by the highline right-of-way. I live in the White and Brick house before U get to it. Come see and say hi. Nat at 318-894-2160. Hang on because shell is heading this way. They just made a location off 154 across from Henry Thrash's place. It isn't marked well from the highway, but it is Jamestown side of dead man's curve on the south side. We Just have to have patience!
Nat,

Thanks for the update, sad that gas took a hit so badly that it doesn't even follow oil anymore. I have thoughts on that but I will keep them to myself.

It is sad when you can throw a rock at a well and not be part of it. Keep us posted on the Shell info, I am always interested.

Teri
the well is being drilled by scan energy.
Hey Nat,

All I can see from Sonris is that it looks like Brammer Engineering is listed on the well break down. I know they work with Energen alot....
I need to get on sonris and figgure out how to find non-haynesville wells. It might be a little behind, I will hunt and see what I can find out. Have not heard of Brammer Engineering, just energen resources, and scan energy. Thanks lynn!
OK Teri, U were rite! I went in the trailer and talked to them today, and the gentlemen in the office were from Brammer Engineering. They are down 4,300 feet and said they would be finished in about 3 weeks. All is going well.
Nat,

Glad I could be of some service....lol...I try to keep up on the operators around my properties...You can tell them there is some mighty fine soil a stone's throw away...ha ha
Congrats again on the well.....
