I live off Benton Road, North of I220 and just across the tracks toward the River levy. Residents along Rebouche Road have been known to sign leases for $5,000 per acre/.25%/3yr/2yr opt. This was last week. I was offered the same and I needed to "think about it." I am aware of signings off Airline Drive north of 220 for $11,000 per acre with a well site just south of "The Reserve" across from entrance to Lakewood. Are there any other offers in this area?

I live here outside of PD....only leasing was done a couple of years ago for shallower depths but there is interest now by a major player in the Barnett shale. No offers yet, they are doing some homework before coming back. Be patient it may be awhile but it is coming as far I can tell. I was fortunate enough to have a friend that met with this company along with several other landowners. We probably won't take the first offer.
I just spoke with someone that the Eco Resources, Inc. told me about
(a land management man). He told me that they were up here leasing
about a year ago, and told me to call a Mr. David Lovell at 683-1108.
of course you have to wait for him to call back, so I have not spoken
with him yet.

They were leasing in the Rocky Mount area a year ago, but failed to
call us back after the initial call. From what I understand, this is
happening some, just an oversight due to so much to do.

I OWN APPROXIMATELY 200 ACRES IN NORTH BOSSIER PARISH WITH 100% MINERALS. THE PROPERTY IS LOCATED IN SECTION 27, TOWNSHIP 23 NORTH AND RANGE 14 WEST IN THE OLD COMMUNITY OF WARDVIEW.
HAS ANYONE IN THIS AREA BEEN CONTACTED FOR A LEASE? ANY INFORMATION WOULD BE APPRECIATED.
Go to the Chesapeake website and submit an inquiry about leasing. You will be contacted within 24 hours.
Any recent news on leasing in North Bossier Parish? Any well permits or rigs moved on-site in North Bossier?
Almost all of the leasing going on north of Benton is the 250-400 dollar per acre type, mainly looking for formations like the Cotton Valley and the Haynesville Sand. It appears that the shale tapers out just north of the Sonnier's pecan orchard there off of Benton Road.
The current wells just north of the pecan orchard are Cotton Valley wells, 9500 - 9900 ft. No one is quite sure about the shale in the Benton area. There has never, according to SONRIS, been a well drilled it that area that went below 10,000 ft.
One mile east Cypress Church leased for $5000 last month. Petrohawk did some leasing for more than that near the new water tower. There have been some spotty contacts in the lake areas in the last month or so.
You may want to back up on that statement. There is interest now further north in Caddo and Bossier by a very prominent company...Some of us met with them this week and now there are several other companies calling. They think is here also!
When you say further north, how much further? Any certain area?
Plain Dealing area Glenn! The original map on Geology dot com shows the shale extending into Southwest ARK.... I don't know where these people come up with boundaries like Benton? I guess because Chesapeake drew there leasing lines there.....there are other companies looking further north now! NO leases yet though.
Hi! I live off of Highway 160 (in between Benton and Plain Dealing) and I, too, have been told that they may stop the leasing at the town of Benton, and not go any further north. Who have you been talking too? Please contact me and let me know!

Thank you!
They are coming up with this info because 3 test wells have been drilled north of Benton with no shale shows....I know who the guys are that met with you, take the offer, they have more money than sense...when they figure the shale is not there, they're gonna lose a lot of money
