PetroHawk is Ready! Section 24 (River Bend and Part of Golden Meadows)

Everyone! PetroHawk is ready to get serious with us...just like Parts of Plantation Trace (Sect 23). Not everyone in PT got a offer for $20,000...PetroHawk is only interested in those homes in Section 23...Why, because they are fixin to start drilling on section 23 and 26.

Our Section 24 (RB and Part of GM) are in the section adjacent to sect 23. Where do you think they want to drill next? Right behind RB...

If you have looked at the attached map from Sonris showing active leases...We are in SL19349 which comprises 4 Sections (23,24,25,26).

O&G companies want to get this Active Lease area leased up first.

IMO, It is not in our best interest to be joining a large group of folks that do not live in the Active Lease Area described above. The O&G companies are not that interested in the other areas yet. Hence..the reason why not everyone got a offer up in Shady Grove, Southgate, Golden Meadows, Plantation Trace, etc.

I have attached a aerial Photo of our South Bossier Area from Sonris and it shows the sections #'s and Section,Township boundries. This is the aerial of the Active Leasing area.

The other attachment is of PetroHawks Pulic Hearing that has been posted on this website for a few weeks. Page 3 of the letter shows a map of the Section PetroHawk will start drilling before End of Sept. Next meeting for PH is in Baton Rouge, Aug 12. Thats the final blessing for the go ahead to poke some holes.

I am not a O&G man, I am not a expert in anything, just a person putting the pieces of the puzzle together. Many of you may think differently, But I think if you are in the Active Leasing Area and in Section 24...Our time is close and it need not be clouded by someone elses greed who is wanting everyone to hold out in South Bossier and who doesn't even have property that is being actively sought after. Just My Opinion!

If you live in Section 23, check your front door. The letters were placed there on Mon. 7/21/08. The landmen were taking "letters of intent to sign leases" around on Wed. & Thurs. of same week. If you weren't home, they left it on the door/porch. The offer is good until 8/30/08. If you want the offer, just mail in your letter of intent by then.
And nobody said, "Randy will you beat this offer?"

Sigh.
Randy I believe you are with Twin Cities. Last offer we received in RiverBend was for 5500/25% for section 24. Why dont you come back and make us a reasonable offer not the 5500 and ppl might actually think about getting a good lease and signing it. You could try $25000 and 30% I consider that reasonable. I only speak for my property on that :) and I would sign with Chesapeake !
I believe randy works for twin cities also I believe there are many oil and gas reps. working this site and other sites. They are fairly easy to spot, "It;s always hurry up and get on board", or "Don't miss the boat" type responses.
I'm sorry my intention is not to rush anyone, ever. I don't think you will find one post from me that infers that you will 'miss out'.

My point in all of this is that if you have property in an area I am allowed by Chesapeake to lease, that if you provide me with an offer from another company I will beat that offer. 100% of the time.

Randy
I would like to point out that is a standard offer for individual lots. You will get a much better deal with a HOA. That is why you aren't seeing other companies purchasing individual lots. The overhead is HUGE. You put everything together and present us with a package deal we will beat any offer you have on the table.

Seeing as how half of your neighbors have signed a letter of intent (which is not legally binding actually) they may not want to pursue that anymore. :(

Randy
I didn't mean to come across negative. I've just always been taught never to take a contract that had anything to do with something I own lightly or hastily and to take my time and if it wasn't meant to be OH WELL, pardon the pun. Personally I believe there will be many holdouts when everybody sees what Bossier City get for their acres.
Monette I sent you a mail.
That's real interesting, Randy. In PT, the one & only offer we got from Twin Cities was for $1K/acre. Petrohawk offered $20K/acre; seems like they're more interested in signing us than Twin Cities. And now, you say you almost always beat someone else's offer? Hard to believe. PH says the letter of intent IS legally binding. Now, which is it?
I like your style.

And if Petrohawk has the same authorization as Randy, (to beat a competitors offer 100% of the time) this could get interesting for you. That's where you want to be... seeing who will scream uncle first.
Yes someone will always scream first. Doesn't hurt yall any. :)

Typically it ends up people use who they like, just like the rest of the world.
Is there a map online available to find out the section #'s of the south Bossier area? Found one of them on Sonris but wasn't legible. Anyone know of another? Trying to find my sec.
