Does anyone know of any evidence other than leasing activity that the Haynesville Shale is present in the southern half of Bossier Parish? Chesapeake seems to be focused in Desoto and Southern Caddo. Has Petrohawk or others actually drilled a well into the shale in Bossier parish?

I have seen that, and other gas companies analyst presentations as well. I dont know what isopach data points are. I suppose I would like to see evidence like the PennVirginia well that says "this specific well at this specific location is producing this per day". I hear rumors of the kind of production to the west, but have not heard of anything east of the Red River.

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
