Listen to the latest episode of The Bit, Upstream's weekly podcast, where we talk about the newest emerging US shale play and the state of Canadian LNG exports.

First, Noah Brenner uncovers the first signs of activity in the mysterious Rogersville shale in the Appalachian basin, and discusses Whiting Petroleum's plan to sell most of its Brown Dense assets.

Whiting Petroleum is cutting bait in the disappointing Lower Smackover/Brown Dense play.

WLL comments begin at 6:35 minutes into the podcast.  Link follows:

Grenadier and Claiborne Parish have no relationship to Beauregard Parish.  I haven't reviewed Beauregard Parish in quite some time.  I believe that the Wilcox formation continues to draw an occasional drilling permit.
