No sir, it is not associated with the TPG deal. That investment is targeting conventional gas assets, kind of a long term bet on when nat gas comes back.
Dan A Hughes was paid $578 Million by PXP for 60,000 net acres in the Eagleford with 5,000 bopd associated production, Oct 2010. The LSBD is has similar perm and porosity and higher oil in place/TOC so I think it makes sense for DAH to be involved.
Dan A Hughs co likely thinks SWN can improve on the 583boepd(52% oil) of the 19 stage Garrett well and are going to wait on several more designs to get tested, IMHO.(especially updip in the oil window where this well is)
I didn't think so either but just wanted to get your current opinion regarding your earlier post mentioning TPG. It's good to know a little more background on DAH. Thanks.
"583boepd"
uh oh! I better appologize to my former inside source. Looks like we had some miscommunication. Somehow I missed the "e" when the person told me the production numbers.

Monroe Scout Report lists the well is awaiting a completion rig for 11 stage frac. as of 3 July.
Humm...I heard from a resident near the well that a crew was on site a week or so ago pumping out the hole in preparation for the frac crew showing up soon.
Anyone with eyeballs on the site who can keep us up to date?
LA Office of Conservation Scout report:
DAN A. HUGHES COMPANY, L.P | 243946 | PLUM CREEK #001
7/7/12, FINISHED FRAC.
7/11/12, FLOWING WELL BACK
Is there any reports on the flow back. The last scout is 7/11/12
"7/25/12, FLOWING BACK 4 BBL FRAC WATER PER HR." No mention of oil.
ouch!!!!
up dip and should be very low gravity crude maybe 18 to 24s degrees, do not expect much more assuming the crude is what I guesstimate, a long way from the oil/gas window in my humble opinion. If this in fact an accurate flow rate, they did not have much luck with the frac.
Do you have an
Scout report of 8/03/2012:
07/31/12: SHUT-IN. WAITING ON ORDERS.
The second page of the Preliminary Completion Report is interesting.

The second page is interesting. What do you think will happen next with the well?
Shale drilling and lithium extraction are seemingly distinct activities, but there is a growing connection between the two as the world moves towards cleaner energy solutions. While shale drilling primarily targets…

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
