No comment. LOL!
8/5/13, DRILLING TO INTERMEDIATED TOTAL DEPTH AT 9650' AND LOGGING.
Don't know what intermediated total depth means, but they are only 750 feet short of their original projected total depth, after only 17 days drilling.

More no comment. LOL!
As I understand, There is no extensive coring being done on this well as it was in the Jackson well under previous scrutiny for taking so long to drill. This makes for much quicker drilling with less opportunity for problems.
How fast a well is drilled in not always the indicator of knowing what they are doing vs. not knowing. It may even be an indicator of how desperate they are to get a hole in the ground.....lol.
Gatrpaw,
I am just glad someone can drill a vertical hole without mechanical problems. Now they will probably get stuck. My luck!
Judging by info for the Sharp well, it seems that "intermediated total depth" means the depth of the intermediate string of 7 5/8" casing. Below this depth they will probably use 5 1/2" casing to the bottom.
23 DAYS DRLG @ 9650' 8/9/13
08/12/13: 9650' STUCK IN HOLE. 08/12/13: CAME LOOSE & STARTED OUT OF HOLE.
Surely glad to see it "came loose"!

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
