Happy birthday to

Ben Franklin!!!

Google:  BF + women...

We keep our gas logs burning most of the day during winter, especially now that my hubby and I are both retired (yea!)........

Would that be Wayne?   I worked with him for many years at DHPS...I still work there.

Yes, that's him.  Wayne just retired at the end of the year.  Now all he wants to do is sit by the fire!!!

Who is this?  I'll tell him you said hello.

Wayne says hi......
Tell Wayne to enjoy...he's earned it!!!   Just patiently waiting on my payday on my 20 acres in Sec 20 12n 12w...already been drilled.

We already have one well producting in Sec 6 12n 11w, and we're waiting on two more to be completed in Sec 1 & 12 in 12n 12w.    The one in Sec 6 is doing great, hope the others come in as good.

Good luck to you on your well........hope it's a "gusher"

That's where I get my greatest pleasure...I don't post often here...but I do read!   I enjoy reading people's report on how they have reeped the benefits of the Shale!

I feel the same way Sidekick.  It's so exciting to be a part of the DeSoto Parish Group (and this website), and see what is happening in our little ole rural parish.  It makes me happy to know that lots of deserving folks are receiving benefits from the Shale.

Be good, and don't work too hard!

Thanks and ENJOY your (& Wayne) retirement!!!!!!

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.

This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
