Great post....love the pics. Do you have the ones section 4, 8, or 9 14n 14w? I live in MS but have royalties and/or family w/royalties on 4 & 9. I'd love to see the rig if you have it. Also, what road were these pics off of? Thanks.
The rig in the foreground (Nabors #M27) was the rig that drilled section 19 well. I don't have a photo of it while drilling section 19. I just thought getting two rigs in one photo kinda unique. Access to Nabors rig is off Jessie Latin Rd. and access to Patterson rig is off Long Rd. Below is a photo of the two rigs taken from the Long Rd. In this photo you can get an idea of the distance between them.

FXEF. Great pics. Just one suggestion. You might consider changing the title of your discussion topic. In the biz, when rigs are 'stacked" it refers to them being taken out of service and stacked in a yard. As in that rig, and crew, are out of work. How 'bout "sprout"? As in there are Haynesville rigs sprouting all over township so-and-so. LOL!! However you say it, it's good news. Good Luck.
Skip, thanks for the lesson in oil field lingo. I have changed "stacked" to "sprout", as you suggested. Keep us "worms" straight!
Those that pay attention will not stay worms for long. LOL! It is amazing and gratifying how much knowledge many of the non-business members have picked up in a relatively short time. Last fall we were bemoaning the fact that so many rigs were being stacked as drilling slowed. With improved nat gas prices and a large number of leases expiring, 2010 should see very few stacked rigs. And a lot more pics like these. Keep 'em comin'! Thanks.
I grew up off Long Rd....never thought I'd see anything other than cows, grass, and pine trees out there. It's all really hard to believe.
Parkdota, we still have a few cows, but wellheads are quickly replacing dairy barns in DeSoto Parish. Here's your cows... LOL!

Do u know if Sec 19 was a success
James, all I know, the rig was moved down the road to section 21. Pipeline is in place, however well has not been frac.

Cool !! I was the drilling forman over that rig and also on that well. It was sent to the Barrnet Shale and then released to another operator........

Bubba,

Did you move to north Dallas with M27?

No I did not. I wonted to stay in NLA division. Some of the foreman from that area took it.
