Wanting to gauge activity in Lincoln Parish and around the parish. Talking with people in the area there seems to still be some activity in the area. Curious what will be done with the 2015 leases south of I-20/southwest Lincoln through Mark O’Neal Company that will up for renewal soon as well as Choudrant area activity.

Range is looking for a buyer for Lincoln and Jackson assets. They are running one rig with tends to move between the two parishes. Their focus is the Marcellus. Wildhorse Resources Management has had one rig drilling infill wells in the Choudrant Field. Their focus is west Texas where they currently have 6 rigs running.
Tanos has acquired the Wildhorse Resources Management Lincoln Parish assets. Slips my mind because the weekly rig report continues to show the one to be deployed by WRM. That's probably because it is still under contract to WRM but Tanos is running the show.
In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of) nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
