Why would they drill these horizontal lcv that average 5mcfd when they have so much HA land left to drill?
Devon ain't "they".  And Devon doesn't have a significant existing leasehold prospective for the HA in NW. LA.  The simple answer, you drill what you got.
Yeah but Devon has a lot of HA leases in Texas.
Not so much actually.
I believe Devon's well 241569 had production of 5200 mcfd vs. 5 mcfd.

Skip, Hope you and everyone on GHS have had a great Holiday Season, I certainly have.

Do you or others with info in Lincoln Parish believe that these results that Devon is having with LCV horizontal wells,  will prompt more drilling activity in the area?

Thanks  Treeman

Looking strictly at the Ruston Field, Devon drilled and completed 3 Cotton Valley  vertical wells and 1 horizontal.  It was a good well.  And Devon has permitted another. I'd say Devon is testing the potential for additional horizontal CV wells in this area.  Whether they drill more in the near term is likely predicated on lease status and nat gas price.

Now it looks like Devon's renovations to the unit well Mattie Watson No. 1 Well #  222275 to the south in Sec 25 19N 2W is promising because Devon desires to drill a horizontal lateral.

Sounds promising.
