Ashland Field Comprehensive Update

The first new wells are being drilled in the Ashland Field and the initial new well is completed and will be reported in the very near future.  Obviously Aethon thinks it will be a good well since the company is drilling the second well and holds a permit for a third.  Here is a cut and paste from SONRIS covering all three.  Our members with drilling experience will need to decipher all the driller report abbreviations. The activity by Expand and GEP Haynesville west of Natchitoches is the Robeline Field.  We follow and discuss it.  Petro-Hunt has established Haynesville units in Bienville that is a good bit east of the currently defined fairway.  We wish them all luck but we've seen a number of plays and step outs fall short over the years.  Both areas need good results from the initial wells to sustain interest.  As capable as these companies are, they still do not have a 100% success rate.
