Encana creating 4 drilling/production units in T9N R10W S22, S23, S27, S26

I got this in the mail today. While the letter says Sabine Parish the map says Natchitoches. I checked with the lawyer and he confirmed that the location on the map is correct. Great news for Natchitoches Parish. Bad news for me I am in an adjacent section. Guess I can watch my neighbors build new houses. Maybe I can get a loan from one of them :-) . Oh well I am happy for them! I figure my grandchildren will be rich from this Haynesville Shale play. All good things take time.

LOL ~ I'll make us a pot of coffee and we can watch the new car parade.
Ginger--If you are in my section, I owe you and the rest of my neighbors an apology. I am the reason that we are not leased. I am the mineral rights Jonah. I’m the Charlie Brown of oil and gas. This is a true story. About 8 years ago, I bought some land in Bienville Parish. Part of the land was unitized in the largest producing gas well in the state at that time. El Paso Production was the O&G co. The land I bought had 4 acres in the unit. El Paso came in right after I bought the land and put a second well on the rest my property that was in the adjacent unit. The day they completed the well, it shut off production of their first well. My well produced a little gas. I think we even got a few checks for $700 a month. It was before Horizontal wells and it was completed in the CV zone I think. The well now produces enough gas to light a Coleman lantern and every couple of months we get a check for $100. But the good news is that it produces enough gas for El Paso to keep it HBP. When I bought the the land my 4 acres killed my neighbors gas well and mine never produced that much. I am single handedly responsible for impoverishing 2 whole section of Bienville Parish. Now I hate to tell you the really bad news… I own more land in section 35, 9, 10 than I own in Bienville parish. We don’t have a prayer. Warm up the coffee pot but you better find the coffee on sale. I could be a while before a payday! At least the price of gas should be out of the dumpster by then. Our grandchildren might even be able to buy an espresso machine. The Lord promises to give us what we need not what we want.

Oh well. At least I was able to marry the little red haired girl and she has stuck it out! She just doesn’t have red hair.
LOL ~ I'm glad you're taking responsibility. I really thought it was me.
I'm convinced that there's a giant nut grass seed growing under my land (that's all we seem to grow is nut grass) and that it's pushing all the gas onto my neighbor's property.
The Lord also decides what's a 'need' and what's a 'want' ~ I think I NEED some royalties. Guess I'm a little fuzzy on the definitions. Haha.

The Lithium Connection to Shale Drilling

Shale drilling and lithium extraction are seemingly distinct activities, but there is a growing connection between the two as the world moves towards cleaner energy solutions. While shale drilling primarily targets…
