how much of your property are they crossing and is it the 42 inch pipe on your property. And they offered less than 200 a rod . I called a lawyer . I am gonna let him handle it for us .

I have talked to a lawyer also. He said the standard procedure is to take the money Acadian offered but make it clear that it is not just compensation. We can then have more time to prepare a case. If you do take the money under threat of condemnation make it clear that this is not "Just Compensation" so you can get more at a later date.

I also got money for allowing them on the property to survey. The surveys included multiple environmental surveys, wetland delineation, geotechnical and cultural surveys. I got 125 an acre, but I think I did not ask enough. If they find anything your land can become some critters " habitat" and your use will be limited.
There is no upside to letting them survey.

It would be nice if they just treated people fairly like other pipeline companies do, but Acadian does not want to do business that way.

Acadian is offering $15,000 per acre to my cousin to cross her place South of Alexandria between Lecompte and LSUA. This come out to being around $285 a rod. She is still dickering around with them. Their offer came up to a total of around $65,000 she told them that she wanted $80,000.

Has anyone else had an offer from Acadian? I would like to advise my cousin on her deal but need someone to come to the plate with documents or some sort of evidence that would hold up, that they got X number of dollars for the trade.

Hi...I'm new to this forum, but was hoping that someone could give me advice, direction, or information regarding this pipeline coming to Natchitoches parish. I was contacted by a surveyor out of Longview, TX on Monday who wants to survey my land for a pipeline that's going in along I-49 near the Ajax exit. I live out of the area, but wanted to know what do I need to be aware of. Thanks!
