Pinnacle Operating has filed a permit for a horizontal Saratogo-Annona well in the same general area as the Lacy wells.  Let's hope they are successful.  The only thing different about this permit is the depth.

Hope they have some help - this will be their 6th or 7th well permit in the last 10 years

Jeeze louise,  that sounds so... NOT promising!

Not saying it can't be done, and on a budget at that, but it will largely depend on their consultants.

I'll have to go look in the Clerk's office to see what they've been filing.  I would guess they are on Lacy lease tracts.

The TVD is quite different between this well and the Anderson J. O. Kimbrell 3 #1 in S3- 7N - 12W.  4,000' difference.  Any idea how far apart they are as the crow flies? The only recent LA. Annona Chalk well that I recall are these discussed in the North Caddo Group.

The Kimbrell well is about 25 miles NE of this location.  I am not sure what I think of this permit yet.  Lacy permitted 10,000' and someone told a landowner they were drilling 5,000' TVD with a 5K lateral.  This well is a little bit south of where Lacy was drilling so the Annona might be a bit deeper there but probably not a 1000' or more. I'll have to look around at the wells in the area.

I cant find a Jasper county on this website, but there is a well being drilled about 2 miles south of the Sabine county line from Brookeland  on Highway 96 on the east side. does anyone know what kind of well this will be?

Joe

Can you add a cross street or nearby FM road?  It does not appear to correspond to a new drill, but may be a workover of an existing well.  More info will help narrow it down

Go south on 96 pass 1007  about a mile, across from Pine Terrance sub division, is an entry marked RIG , couldnt read the name, but the road is improved .  Might be a workover , but it looks like a new location.
