Looks like Chesapeake will be the operator on the Range permits.  Chesapeake could have a big impact on the area if they like what they have seen so far.

CHK better kick it in high gear. I am pretty sure that federal minerals are involved under this location and Range bought the BLM lease in October 2000 (10 year lease). The lease expires 11/30/2010 and the only way to get a 2 year extension from the BLM is to be driling over the expiration date.
The original permits were for Range and then the leases started showing up in Goodrich presentations and now Chesapeake? They probably were the only ones in the group that had a rig. Do you know if the Frazier Federal permit by Range is under the same time constraints?
not sure if it covers the Frazier loc. That location might be on one of the 2 BLM leases. they cover around 3000+/- acres and I takes quite a while to get permits approved on BLM lands. The following link on the Horton surface use well was posted on this site last year and it only refrences the Horton.

CHK must have heard you, Deep RIghts! Trinidad rig 107 spud the Horton Federal #1H on 10-18-10 in the J. Mc Adams Survey, A-159.
Frazier Federal #1H is changed to Chesapeake today.

Thank you for this... lot riding on these.
I think all of us on the "fringe" feel that way, Ken.
I may be repeating myself but a few good wells can make the difference. In the fall of '08" landmen told me that the Noble,La. area was on the fringe.
is there any chance the this company is going to be in the eastern part of Sabine country around Moses hill survey.
