Those wells are permitted in Sec 31 and 36 in T7N R11W. Section 31 is about 3 to 4 miles out the Middle Creek road as you would go from Many. Section 36 is, of course, the last section in T7N, R11W. On the border with Natchitoches Parish and about 5 miles south of Ft. Jessup. Sec 31 has lots of old oil well activity. Mostly 3K to 4K ft deep. Chalk formations I think. The wells that are permitted are for 3,000 ft. and would have nothing to do with the H-shale. Interesting to me that recent filings show other leases in that general area of T7 from Meriwether La Land and Timber to SWEPI LP. Recent filings. A friend of mine told me SWEPI LP was Shell.?? They, I don't think, are going to be interested in small stuff. I have no idea who Meriwether is, does anyone else? Sugarcookie, If you will give your section and township I will tell you about how close you are to this other property.

I would think SWEPI stands for Shell Western Exploration & Production. The I could be inc. The LP could be limited partnership hhhhmmmmmmmmm I don't know, but I assume SWEPI stands for Shell Western Exploration & Production.
