well if you know that you or a member of your family is heir to land under the lake you can go to the courthouse and track the lineage and find out who owns the minerals and what % they own. if you dont know i suspect it wont be long before someone comes knockin who does know!!

Okay let me be sure i understand this. If someone say owned land in 1965, the lake came in and took 17 acres of a 40... and say the land owner sold the remaining acres in 1970 (23) would the original owner still have claim to the 17 acres lost ???

Yes, there is acreage around Toledo Bend. We are approximately 3 miles from part of it and we were "gypped" by an "Oilman" representative.
We are interested in seeing someone join in a class action suite regarding what people
have been paid in Sabine Parish.
