I have seen stakes with Encana 8" written on them on the Old P. Hill Road north of Mr. Guffy Pattison's old place. They were also doing some heavy equipment work there last Saturday. I haven't been by there since to see what was done. There were also some stakes with the same words near the intersection of Progress Church Road and the Free Road. And there were ROWs being negotiatied in Mitchell just above the Brown well for a pipeline.
Jack Blake has been contacted by Mustang Engineering; a firm working for Encana. They may want to run a P/L on edge of Jack's land. They say they try to keep it as close to the edge of property as necessary so they take as little property as necessary.
Jack's land is in Sec 21 T 10 N - R 11 W.
-The P/L would go down a 750' side of my land that has a Sabine Parish maintained dirt road frontage all down that 750' side of the land.
-I don't know what size of P/L it would be (maybe this 8" you speak of).
-I have minerals leased to Chesapeake and Encana said that has nothing to do with this P/L ROW deal they may want to make.
-I gave permission to survey and they have surveyed and put up flags on about 1-9-10. Encana wants a ROW for an Encana P/L.
Jack did pretty good on the original mineral 3 yr lease to Chesapeake(lease good for another 1.5 years and my section has been made a production unit by SWEPI LP but so far no well planned on SONRIS).
Q 1 What is fair compensation for this ROW deal? $/foot in length or how is it figured?
Q 2 Is it a perpetual never ending lease and a one time pay out to me or money every so many years?
Q 3 What specifice do I need to put in the deal?
Q-4 What else do I need to know?? Maybe I need to know the size of P/L and volume they plan to flow thru it to make my deal?
Q-5 Where can I do more research?
I do want the ROW on my land and I want to be compensated fairly, but I don't want to demand to much and scare them away from my land.
Help a brother out howled Jack Blake!!!
Long live the HS!!!!!
The pipeline Dixie is speaking of at Old Progress Church Road and Free Road is running on our property. It is part of the Olympia Pipeline. We have already signed and been paid for the first one. It is running diagonally (SE to NW) across our property which is about 1/4 mi. north of that intersection. It is actually four lines and a 50' right of way when completed. It is with EnCana. We have been contacted about a second one on our property which is across the Free Road from the first one (still part of our 96 acres). The survey is being completed now and it will break off of the one mentioned above and go north. It is still the Olympia Pipeline. You get paid one time on right of ways. It is not a yearly lease.
make sure you negotiate on a per rod per pipeline. 4 lines in a right of way equal 4 times per rod. They will pay it. Keep that in your agreement on any future lines in that right of way.
Do you get paid greater PL ROW if the P/L is larger diameter trunk line (24" P/L)?
If so how much per rod?
Thanks pelkid. We did get paid for all 4.
Olympia Pipeline? Are you referring to Olympia Minerals 26 in S26 T9 R12? I thought that well was plugged and abandoned because it had collapsed? Has something changed
My papers call it the "Olympia Pipeline".
that pipeline is going to run aprox. 16 miles from a well drilled on firetower rd. south of pleasant hill across hwy 175 toward guffey pattisons place and connect the wells that have been drilled it will turn north and cross hwy 174 at craig richardsons place near mitchell and then run to oxford to a larger line and treatment plant. this line is just the first of many that will be run. surveying is being done at belmont for another line that will run all the way to I 49.
Any idea on when they plan to have this up and running? My well is the one on Firetower rd. and we havent heard anyting about it.
they are doing the frac on the fire tower rd well now. the pipeline is being completed on the west side of hwy 175 now should be completed in a few months.
We have in fact done the ROW on the second pipeline I mentioned above that runs north. It does break off of the Olympia Pipeline and my ROW papers has it named as Pleasant Hill West Pipeline.
