WP, I know it seems like every section has activity but IMO development is just now extending this far south.  There are good wells completed a few miles to the north and your township has 30 sections under Haynesville Drilling & Production Unit orders.  There a number of possibilities why Section 33 is not one.  Other than the possibility that the SWEPI just hasn't gotten to your section yet, there is a producing well in your section that is holding some portion of the section acres under an old lease.  Also there doesn't appear to be any competition for SWEPI in your immediate area.  If you have a significant number of acres in the section, I suggest that you have an experienced O&G attorney review the production history for Northern Energy Mangement's Waechter #001, Mooringsport-Lime well

Thank you, Skip that is very interesting, and I will heed your advice.

WP,  There is an Encana/Swepi well (Ser. # 241012) in Section 4, T8N-R12W, that is immediately south of Sec. 33, T9N-R12W.  It is currently "being potentialized".

The last time I was though there (on the Jim Procell Road), the pipeline network was still under construction.

They have you surrounded-not a bad thing, though!
