any update on these two wells
XTO amended this permit to a vertical depth of 17200 ft. It is an exploratory in a wildcat field in a 40 acre unit. What the heck is that deep?
Brings up some pretty interesting questions, doesn't it????
oil
alongview where did you get that info that the permit was amended.just curious bcause my grandmother owns 27 of the acres in that 40 acre unit
It won't stay a 40 ac unit.
The permit was originally approved at 14,300' on 12/14 and then re-permitted to 17,200' on 12/29.

The revised W-1permit is on this link:

and this means what.not real familiar with all of this, just trying to keep my grandmother up to date thanks
Tell your grandmother that her well is being drilled. The only thing amended was the drilling depth permitted.
ok what now the rig is being moved out........
word is they are replacing the smaller rig with a larger rig maybe a directional rig. Rumor is they are afraid of a blow out, and needed a bigger rig
