Does anyone know if water is taken from the Attoyac River for fracing?.  If it is, do they pay? and to whom?

Yes, some companies are using water from the Attoyac for fracing. In most cases, this involves and access agreement with the landowner, and filing a permit with TCEQ for the withdrawal itself. In most cases, the amount paid for the access is considerably more than the permit fee.

TCEQ may suspend issuing these permits due to the drought.
