The derrick was raised at 5:30 pm this eve. it IS Rowan rig # 35 I can see it good from my house !!!!
Thanks Doug for your great reports.
Do you have mineral rights and been contacted by a landman?
This unit don't include my land. I leased to EOG almost 2 years ago way too cheap!!!!! We do have 6 acres in EW Brown at Denning that is unleased. Holding out for good money on that !!!!!!!
I have a share of mineral rights on this and a landman sent me and my 3 sibilings a Ratification of Oil, Gas and Mineral Lease. I haven't signed anything yet and turned it over to a OG attorney look in to what my options are. If any one have similar experience with the process I would like to know.
Larry,
A lease apparently exists that currently ties up your minerals. When taking leases, O&G companies are looking for the right to drill. When it comes time to drill or pay, they take a much closer look, have their attorney go over every little thing, to make SURE they own the rights. They don't want to spend 10mm $ drilling if they can't get their share of the return. So, when they run title, any new heirs to an old "title chain" need to ratify the existing lease so everyone is on the same page. They want "clear title" i.e. everyone involved agrees that they have the right to do this. But, getting an atty to look it over is smart.
Has anyone have any news on this well?
Larry, they finished drilling in mid-May so I would suspect that the well is in line waiting to frac and complete. Could be a couple of months before we hear anything, if all goes well. Maybe they will have it completed in time to announce when they hold their 2Q conference call.
The frac is completed and this well is in production. It is right next door to our house.
Any idea on production rate?
They are only allowed to run it at 14.5 due to pipeline restrictions, but we have been told that the well could produce much better than that.
I wonder how long before it pays out.
