Just wondering what is being offered in SA as of the first week of December? I have confirmed offer of $5000.00 w/22.5% around the Goodwin school.

Just Saying,
You may have just become the "deep throat" of seismic testing. Is this creepy "deep seated feature" under the unit proposed by St Mary in the Patterson survey?? I hope you aren't going to tell us that the world is really flat and the further south the rigs go in SA county, they will eventually fall off the side of the world!!!
Kidding aside, how do you compare the seismic features of the Kardell well with the St Mary well in the Patterson survey, approximately 3-4 miles directly north???
Hi everyone! I am new to all of this so please bear with me. What is the location of the Patterson survey that you are talking about and St Mary is that a well name or a O&G Company name? any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks Sue

Cheerleader, I believe the deep seated feature Just Saying is referring to is known as the Sabine Uplift. This feature is what cuts the H-shale off in Sabine Parish, LA near the bottom of Township 8 North, and also affects Sabine County, TX in a similar way. San Augustine County will be affected by the Sabine Uplift as well, which is why you may see the leasing trend in SA county stop 12-15 miles south of San Augustine.
I believe the feature Just Saying is referring to is the Sabine Island, not the Sabine Uplift. I have looked and looked and can't find anything about it except that it is supposedly there in Sabine Cty. and Sabine Parish, mid-countyish. Chesapeak has it on a map. It is described as the backstop to the shale formation. There is very limited information about this geological feature that I can find, and it looks to be the crux of explaining why certain areas are going to be bad for production. Sounds like some baloney being put out there as facts are limited. I'm sure the O&G science people know about this, but at this time it appears to be the fodder for weak bonus offers. Time will tell us and why doesn't Mr. Saying step up and explain this instead of the smoke and mirrors? From what i am seeing the whole SA & Sabine& Sabine Parish areas are heating up quite well, so.... who knows.GLTA
Austin, In your opinion, how much of Sabine County is ok in terms of the Sabine Uplift? Roughly the same as San Augustine County....12-15 miles?
Austin,
Maybe someone should warn EnCana given they just permitted in the Speer survey. May be a good idea to alert XTO also.
I think that a little more of an explanation would be great. Where is this feature exactly? What exactly does this look like on the seismic that you must have already seen? If you have seen the seismic already then please share where the best areas look to be. How do you know this information? Do you have an interest in the area either personally or professionally? Are you a landman currently leasing in San Augustine County? If someone is being made an offer by a legitimate company then they can be sure that they do not sit in the area that you speak about where the "Haynesville could be pinched out". You have to bring more info with your first post than an ambiguous bunch of scare tactics......just saying!
IMO, Just Saying has learned a bit from Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, and Barack Obama. The "feature" that's been proven is 30.7MM c/ft a day! The northern line is proven. Nacodoches County is paying off. Encana & the rest aren't in SA County for tax write offs...
Farmbrad,
Great Motherload Cheer!!!!

If they buy leases in certain parts they may be. I don't understand why some folks see a good well drilled in a county and just asume that the whole county is prospective. Oil and gas does not know county lines or property lines. Encana drilled a Haynesville well in Southwest Nacogdoches county years ago. I can assure you it was a tax write off.
