Alongview,
Big news for us eastern San Augustine folks. We'll have to keep an eye on progress.
Mike, I agree. A big operator like this brings more money with them to develop their leasehold. I think it won't be long until the Northern part of SA County is very busy. You have Devon, Cabot, St. Mary, Southwestern, Common Resources, and Samson and EOG just at the SA/NAC county lines all with Haynesville depth permits or wells.
Where exactly is this well? I don't see it on RRC.
Don't forget XTO (Hunt wells and acreage).
XTO will in the end be the biggest. they are shopping around to buy....

DR - I am lost... the post below (by Leo - "It is at the county line of nack & shelby but it is in san augustine. they say they hit the mother load in the haynesville and are expanding their pad to accomadate a bigger rig. This is on charles mitchell's property. they have allready drilled down but it was a vertical, now they have decided to go horz. ") states it is in upper corner of county... your post places it on Quirk, T... which is by San Augustine... not that it matters as a large sector of my family lands lies all around both... but your location makes my heart 'twitter' a little more as we have rights leased to Cabot in A-35 and some to Devon just to the East.
Thanks, Bill
XTO's Rudy Mitchell #1is going to repermit to a horizontal (H). they are bringing in big rig next week.
Where is that well?
It is at the county line of nack & shelby but it is in san augustine. they say they hit the mother load in the haynesville and are expanding their pad to accomadate a bigger rig. This is on charles mitchell's property. they have allready drilled down but it was a vertical,, now they have decided to go horz. will talk with ben daniels to see what is happening with devon.. i know they talked with whitton about some leases they were trying to clear up last week.. sorry for the poor spelling....
That is great news. I am hoping the St Mary vertical in the Quirk Survey was successful. Have you heard anything about that one? It is just North of the Devon drill site.
