Must be true. Crimson (Devon's Partner) stock is up 10%. Now 15% I think you mean east of town.

Devon's 3rd Q conference call is set for next Wed, November 4th. My guess is if their well is going >22 mmcf per day they will discuss this on their call.

That would be continued great news for E. Texas prospects if the rumours are true.

Searching on the RRC website there is only one Devon well listed for San Augustine, so I imagine it would be the S, GU Kardell #1 - which is a few miles East of San Augustine in the Quirk survey

looks like my source was little conservative in what he told me 30.7mmcfd rather than >22mmcfd WOW WOW WOW just wish I had minerals in the area. Any one unleased in the play may look for last year type bonus money $5-10,000 per acre and 25%R

I hope you are right adubu. Several around me leased for 5k last year with Devon. Now with the Kardell results I am hoping they will offer 5k again. We are a little south of the Kardell.

Devon speeds some drilling

Devon Energy Corp. will accelerate drilling in the southern part of its Haynesville Shale holdings because of success in the area. A San Augustine County well has achieved an average continuous 24-hour flow rate of about 30.7 million cubic feet of natural gas equivalent per day, the company said. Devon operates the well with Crimson Exploration Inc. Officials said the well is believed to be the most successful well ever drilled in the Haynesville Shale.

it IP with 37/64 choke rather usual 22/64 so it maybe releasing numbers for Wall Street, but still at 22/64 should be close to the 18-20 mmcfd range. still monster well

the above statement about different chokes and IP was stated during CHK conference call yesterday when ask about this well by analysis
