My mom was one of many heirs to 135 acres in San Augustine,TX and 93 acres in Shelby County,TX. Other family members received bonus Payment Vouchers and Paid Up Oil and Gas Lease from Cabot in July for the San Augustine interest. My 2 siblings  and I have never been contacted about the San Augustine minerals. Paloma Resources recently sent us a Payment Voucher for $150 each and a lease document for 3 yrs. @ 25% royalty in October. What should we do?

@ogmladvisor....Thanks for the information and the case law support. As I stated in an earlier post,"This is all intriguing.":) O & G is by no means my specialty and in order for me to truly navigate what has been thrusted upon my siblings and me is to seek knowledge and retain an attorney. The O & G attorney will help clear up any misinformation I may have. For the record, mom always taught me to take every man at his word until he proves otherwise;) Thanks for sharing.
LB, Don't you think that these companies have almost all they can deal with already at these low gas prices? They are drilling to hold acreage already and are lucky to break even. I think that more drilling will occur through 2011, especially to hold acreage in the southern part of the Texas shale as they got a later start on it to begin with. They have just recently started to drill in Sabine County now that hey have a pipeline to sell into. All of these will just push the price recovery farther out. What are your thoughts?
Leo you called the Clark well by St. Mary months back on Bodine's place. Your crystal ball know anything about Liberty Hill?
Good Morning! I was unable to converse much with you all on Sunday as it's reserved for my Father above and family:) However, I want you all to know how much your comments are appreciated! @jffree..Thanks for posting those maps. My ggrandmother is clearly listed on the San Augustine interest. Does this mean we are now WI's w/Cabot since they never contacted us ? As a result of all my questions, I have managed to find an O &G attorney as recommended and we will meet next week. FYI-At the hourly rate quoted,I only wish I had majored in Law.
You should contact Cabot and advise them of her passing. They will guide you from there. I am sorry for your loss and I wish you the best of luck in getting these matters attended to.
