Their Skillern well is in P.A. Sublett, A-44. Maybe they had good luck with it. I hope we hear something positive from them on the 4Q call next month.
I hope we hear more good news too. This well is just E of the Skillern well. I hope they keep moving East about 9 miles. They almost have to keep permitting a well per week in the "Haynesville South" to meet their 100 wells in the next two years goal to HBP all the acreage they have.
Hey...is this not getting close to n. sabine co?
This one is about 3.5-4 miles from Sabine County line.
Inching that way, Ken. This new unit looks like it adjoins the Skillern on the east boundary. Still another 5 miles or so to go.
Do they have to drill any of those over in Sabine Parish? I didn't know if that was100 just in Tx. or not.
I believe most will be in Texas but I believe they plan on drilling some in Sabine Parish. In the presentation the other day the Devon exec said they would be able to hold all primary term acreage(47000 or so) in the "Haynesville South" without much problem.
So what is about to happen here? Is Devon moving East and Encana moving South?

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
