Encana is applying for a new well site today southwest of San Augustine just off (south) of Highway 103 and just west of Highway 147, in the western part of the Z Redmond survey. Encana is really infatuated with the area southwest of SA.

If the minerals have been severed from the surface and you don't know who is paying the taxes on the tract you might have to run the title forward to the current owner(s) to find the location on a tobin map.
Old legal descriptions can give clues by making reference to roads, towns, waterways and adjacent owners.
