Just wondering if pipeline ROW's have been negotiated near FM 1751? FYI: Eric Camp has a great blog and some tips on easement negotiations. Has anyone seen the 24" line near the area (FM 1751/Hwy103/96)? Thanks!

I think Enbridge has surveyed for a 24" through that area I have seen stakes for. I've seen them up north of 711 into Shelby Co. and down towards Bronson/ Pineland. The stakes will have either CL (centerline), PI (point of inflection), ENB (probably Enbridge), POL (point on line), XXXX+XX (station down line in feet), XXXXXX (without a + is a survey point #), etc. on them with orange flagging. Blue and white flagging will probably have a CP (control point) and survey point # on them. They probably will want a 50' permanent and 50' temporary easement. I don't know about any negotiations though. Land owners should have already been contacted for survey permission.

Enbridge is a major transmission company out of Canada. Private companies that transport natural gas in interstate commerce have the power of condemnation under the federal Natural Gas Act (NGA) to acquire corridors for pipelines.
That line is a 24" that goes from Shelby Co. to almost in Jasper. It is scheduled to start up late Feb. or early March. I'm an inspector for Enbridge. It will be handled out of the Longview office. Not sure, but it may only be a 75' ROW (total). Later, it will go on to Pt. Arthur.
Thanks Jimmy. I thought that's what I heard. San Augustine needs some good pipeline infrastructure like this to get all that gas to market. I've heard Enterprise is putting in a 36" running north south just east of Bland Lake too. TPF II East Texas Gathering has a 24" there now so it sounds like there will be some options for the producers. Get all that in place and then when prices go up there won't be any more restrictions on flow due to pipeline constraints.
thanks Johnnie Joe for the info! yes, we have already been surveyed, just curious about the time line for the work to begin! i am a little concerned about the width of the ROW. thanks again!
