169 ac. in the pooled unit and all owned by Exxon/Mobil................................
If operators are switching to oil and liquid rich gas, why are the operators in the Pettet fairway not punching holes in the ground like crazy in Southern Shelby and Northern San augustine Counties? SWN and COG are the only two doing so and they are not the only ones with acreage. XTO, SM, EOG, DVN, just to name a few that have acreage that falls in the productive Pettet fairway according to Cabot's map.
I imagine much has to do with what the depth clause terms that are part of their leases. Motivations would be to first drill whatever the deepest formation is that they want to HBP to hold that strata. After the leases are HBP they can then look at current market conditions and then decide which shallower formations - oil or gas - provide the best return on investment when planning theirstrategy about when/how to commence the in-fill production plans.
That. And market price.

David, You really do a great job on filling in the details with your links on these new wells. Thanks!
Alongview,
Has anyone posted Cabot's map? I may have seen it but can't recall. Will you please post the link to the map showing the "Pettet fairway".
Thanks
