Back in July of last year, the following appeared in the East Texas Drilling Report:

Shelby County
In a lease 8.6 miles southwest of Center in the Stockman (Cotton Valley) Field, the McSwain Well No. 4 will be drilled by Devon Energy Production Co; LP. This well will bottom at 15,000 feet in the ET RR Co./Redditt, J D Survey, A-1148.

I can't seem to find any information on this well through Devon's Royalty Owners Relations folks. Anybody know what is going on with McSwain #4? Based on Tyler Papers info, it looks like this well is going down to HS depths, although it is not a horizontal well.

Been quite a while since July. Anybody know anything about this well?

I too have wondered about another well--Buckner/Smith #1 Unit. This one was supposedly drilled in July , 2008. I found in the Tyler newspaper that it had been drilled.....but, haven't seen any royalty as of today.
According to drillinginfo, no production has been reported from the Mcswain #4. Also, in August 2008 Devon amended the drilling permit to bottom @ 12,000 feet and produce from the Travis Peak formation.

According to drillinginfo, XTO reported 8320 MCF in October 2008, 2199 MCF in November 2008, and 25 BBL in November 2008 from Buckner-Smith 1H. No production reported for December 2008 or January 2009. Production is from the Huxley Field (6,100 feet).
Quick Question....I'm new at this.....Does this mean that they have capped it off and it is no longer pumping? Or does it mean that they just have not reported the production? And if that is the reason, why would they not have reported production?
There has been no production or monies paid from McSwain 4....dont know why.
